Roger Alan Eadler, 88 of Osgood, passed away on June 29th, 2024 at The Christ Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Roger was born on December 13th 1935, to Robert and Mildred Eadler in Osgood, IN. After he graduated from Osgood High School in 1953, he went on to start carpentry work alongside his father. He then worked for UPS for 27 years, retiring in 1994. After retirement, he continued working with a friend doing electrical work. In 1954, Roger met the love of his life, Priscilla. They had 67 wonderful years together. Roger was a remarkable role model known for his strong morals, passion for woodworking, and dedication to family time. He was a believer of Christ and a member of the masonic lodge for over 60 years. Roger was predeceased by his parents, his brother Jimmy Eadler and sister Cheryl Sue Chaney. Among his survivors are wife Priscilla, his son Michael Eadler (Lisa) and daughter Maria Reuter (Tom) along with 5 grandchildren Ciera, Brianna (Andrew), Michael, Brandi, and Lindsay and several great grandchildren. Survivors also include his siblings Ben Eadler (Theresa), Mary Horn (Ron), and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 3 at 3 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Scott Elston and Rev. David Forkert officiating. Burial will be in the Greendale Cemetery in Osgood with military graveside rites by the Osgood American Legion. Visitation will also be on Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to Greendale Cemetery and Ripley County Human Society in care of the funeral home.
