Ruth Janet Allison

Ruth Janet Allison, 86, passed away on July 16, 2024 to her eternal reward in heaven. Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.” She was born on July 18, 1937 in Osgood, Ripley County, Indiana to Edward J and Pearl A Miller as the second of three daughters. Ruth graduated high school from Oldenburg Academy in Oldenburg, Indiana and then from the St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in Indianapolis, IN. Twenty years later she returned to school at Ohio State University and graduated from their nurse anesthesia training at Ohio State University. She practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist over 25 years before retiring in Bradenton, FL. She raised her 4 children and was a devout believer in Jesus, the salvation He gives mankind, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Ruth is survived by her sons Edward J and Roger L Allison, and a daughter Lora Kelley all of Bradenton FL. She is also survived by her two sisters Mona Kramer and Sally Bertrum,13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary D. Allison, and one son Andy Allison.

She was a standard bearer of faith in Christ, trusting in Him and through that faith an overcomer. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother and soldier of Christ who will be dearly missed.
