Stephen E. Collins, 77, of Moores Hill, beloved husband of Judith Collins, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 11, 2019 aboard the USS Yorktown, in Charleston, SC, while attending the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command commencement ceremonies for one of his treasured grandchildren.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, friend, electrician, gardener, woodcrafter, photographer, outdoorsman, train enthusiast, fisherman, traveler, camper, baker, bibliophile, grill-master, Knights of Columbus, Son of the South, tinkerer, Mr. Fixit, Patriot, man of God, Poppy.

You are invited to celebrate a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 213 W Ripley Street, Milan. The family will receive friends and family for a reception in the church hall after mass, noon until 5 p.m. The family requests an offering of mass for the repose of Steve’s soul; memorial contributions may be made to Dearborn and Ohio County Right to Life.
