Wendell Brinson

Wendell Wade Brinson, 73, of Benham passed away at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home. He was born at the Whitlatch Clinic in Milan on July 14, 1950 the son of Wilbur Jr. and Leola Dennis Brinson. He was married to Judy Kay Edwards on November 22, 1980 and she survives.         

Other survivors include three sons Daniel (Jenie) Brinson and Matt (Ashley) Brinson both of Cross Plains, and Sam (April) Brinson of Ft. Wayne; one daughter Valerie (Dave) Dabney of Florida; four brothers Clay (Linda) Brinson of Florida, Kim (Tina) Brinson of Benham, Tim (Mariana) Brinson of Oceanside, California, and Kerry (Tina) Brinson of Cannan; 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Brinson was a 1968 graduate of South Ripley High School. He was a four-year veteran of the United States Navy and was a former resident of Sardinia, Ohio where he worked as a police officer for nine years. He had also worked in maintenance for Ivy Tech in Lawrenceburg and Madison. Wendell had attended the former Cross Plains Baptist Church.

Wendell’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services. The Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of arrangements.
