Marines celebrate 250 years at the Versailles American Legion
The Versailles American Legion Post 173 celebrated the Marine Corps. 250th birthday on Sat., November 8. Pictured are Marine veterans singing the Marines’ Hymn prior to cutting the cake. Morris VFD Breakfast keeps everyone coming back
Pictured is Joe Greiwe, age 93 of Batesville, and his granddaughter Audrey Weigel, of Batesville. Joe looks forward to the Morris Volunteer Fire Dept. Breakfast every year. He told The Versailles Republican, “I mark this on my calendar every year. The food is delicious!” His daughter, Amy (Greiwe) Weigel made sure to bring him and enjoyed the event with the family Sunday, Nov. 9 at the St. Anthony Hall in Morris.
