Doug Winburn and his little Volkswagen Beetle were at the Mini Hippie Fest for the cruise-in. “People always light up when they see it driving by,” he told the Osgood Journal.

Ripley C.A.R.E., Inc. hosted their Mini Hippie Fest on Sat., June 6 which included a car cruise-in, local vendors, music throughout the event, and lots (and LOTS!) of tie-dyes. Charlene Melton and Tom Bruns arrived early and found a perfect shady spot for the humid Saturday! They were right in front of the stage, ready to listen to all the good music. They joked “we’ve been camping for days!”

Batesville junior Ella King was a podium finisher on Friday in the IHSAA Girls Track and Field State Finals. King threw a school record distance in the shop put and earned a fourth place finish.
