One Purpose Church had their outdoor worship on Sunday, August 10 at the Osgood Walking Trails. Pastor Chad Schwering spoke on “Using God as a Filter.” He had a large crowd for the event, only a few chairs were empty out of the 300 they set! One Purpose Church also excitedly announced to anyone unaware, while they are currently in the Gibson Theatre in Batesville on Sundays, they have purchased property next to the Jac-Cen-Del Schools and will soon be building a church there. Pastor Chad and his wife Brandi thanked everyone for coming out and thanked their volunteers that helped everything run so smoothly. Be on the lookout for their next church outing in September at Liberty Park in Batesville!

Elmer and Lois Powell had some comfortable seats to listen to Chad preach, settling their golfcart right behind the chairs and covered tent. You can see just how happy they were to be there for Sunday service. When asked what’s their favorite thing about going to church, Elmer gave a simple “Jesus!” Lois said she loved the feeling that she gets while she’s there.

Jake Bush, 11, amateur photographer, among his many other talents, showcases lightning in the clouds in the sky Tuesday evening, August 12. He is the son of Ernest and Trisha Bush of Rexville. Bush is in 7th grade at South Ripley Middle School.
