Contestants in place for Miss Ripley County
Recently contestants for the Miss Ripley County Queen Pageant met at Monica Hansen’s house. They are pictured from left to right, Cheyenne Cullen, Jac-Cen-Del, Hailey Kunz, Jac-Cen-Del, Bonnie Hoffrogge, Milan, Callie Comer, South Ripley, Rylee Mitchell, South Ripley, Onika Struewing, Batesville, Ball State, and Shelby Williams, Milan. The Pageant will be held at the Damm Theatre on Sunday, July 13.

Come join Plein Air Paint Out
Artists from across the region will gather for the Ripley County Plein Air Paint Out, painting on location at the Versailles State Park and throughout Ripley County from today, June 12 through Saturday, June 14. The public is invited to a free art show (with park admission) on Saturday, June 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the tent near the Nature Center in the Versailles State Park. Terri Trowbridge, Ripley County Executive Director of the Tourism Bureau invited everyone to come see the fresh works created during the event and meet the artists. State Treasurer visits Versailles
State Treasurer Daniel Elliott sits in the driver’s seat of this street sweeper/utility vehicle in Versailles on Monday, June 9 as town employee Joe Bradley looks on. The piece of equipment was purchased with financing through the Hoosier Equipment Lease Purchase (HELP) Program. Treasurer Elliott says he thoroughly enjoys his job as state treasurer and is looking forward to helping many more smaller towns and entities gain access to financing through the Indiana Bond Bank program.
