Mary Philomena (Massie) Scholle

Mary Philomena (Massie) Scholle

Mary Philomena (Massie) Scholle, of Osgood passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday May 3. Mary was born on October 9, 1946 in Frankfort, Kentucky the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy (Friguglietti) Massie.

She grew up and attended school in Frankfort, after graduation she continued her college education in Louisville. She would meet and eventually marry Paul Scholle on July 29, 1967. Mary moved back to Osgood with Paul and they were blessed with four children.

Mary took pride in keeping the home in excellent shape. She not only was a great mother to her own children, but became a mother figure to many children in the community. She opened her arms and heart to helping provide a loving environment to watch others children. It was a tremendous honor to watch a child, then see them return and ask if she would help to raise their children.

She loved her grandchildren with everything she had. Throughout the years she enjoyed raising various flowers and large gardens. She had grown up with the Catholic faith and continued this her entire life.

Mary will be dearly missed by children; Mary Angela (Rob) Bradley of Osgood, Andrew Paul (Mary) Scholle of Greensburg, Christopher David Scholle of Osgood, and Michael Anthony (Myka) Scholle of Osgood, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and brother Charles Massie Jr. of Frankfort, Kentucky.
