Eli Liming’s quest for a state finals appearance before wrapping up his high school bowling career is again just one weekend away as the South Ripley senior bowled his way to a semi-state berth in the regional round of the Indiana High School Bowling State Tournament.
The Strikes and Spares Bowling Center in Clarksville hosted the regional this past Saturday with South Ripley competing as part of the individual tournament.
Facing an uphill climb given narrow lanes and precise shot making to be had, Liming finished third in the individual regional round, punching his ticket to a third-straight semi-state berth. Teammates Landon Adams and Hailee Dowers also competed but were unable to extend their season. Both were appearing for the first time in individual regional action.
Liming’s bid for a state finals berth will be on Saturday as he makes the trip to the Vigo Bowl in Terre Haute as part of the IHSB Semi-State.
