Milan Lion Andy Schwier receives Presidential Leadership Award

At the Lions State Convention this past weekend, a very deserving Lion, Andy Schwier of the Milan Lions Club was honored to receive the Presidential Leadership Award. This is the third highest honor in Lionism and is given to Lions who have demonstrated significant leadership contributions. Presenting the award was Past International President Frank Moore. Riding horses is second nature to Osgood 10-year-old

Mia Hoegeman, age 10, of Osgood, has an extreme talent for racing. Some kids her age would not even think about getting up on a horse, but Mia has a strong relationship with her horse and rides him like someone her age out there on a bike. She has ridden horses since she was three years old. It has always been her dream to run barrel races.


Winnie’s Lunch Box was in town

Gabby Copeland smiles big from inside Winnie’s Lunch Box after she took her grandma’s (Vanessa Copeland) order last week when they were parked at US 421 and Jarvis Drive in Versailles for a trial run. Winnie is named after Gabby and Michael Cole’s daughter, Winter. The couple run the food truck and offer a variety of delicious foods. The painting on the side depicts the little beauty and was painted by one of Gabby’s family members in Florida. You can follow them on Facebook to see where they will be next. They are expected to be in the same spot this weekend.
