Heilers, Prather earn All-ORVC

Jac-Cen-Del’s Claire Heilers and Milan’s Natalie Prather earned All-Conference honors as part of the Ohio River Valley Girls Golf Championship at Butler Falls Golf Course in Hanover.
Heilers and Prather were part of an 8-person All-ORVC list that was headlined by individual conference champions Lilly Fox of Southwestern (Hanover) and Makayla Bowling of Switzerland County who both finished with an 18-hole score of 98.
Rising Sun and Shawe Memorial were the only two conference squads not to field complete scoring teams. Switzerland County won its second-straight ORVC title after a team score of 401 and Milan was a distant second at 471. Southwestern shot a 484 for third place and the team standings were rounded out by Jac-Cen-Del’s 489 and South Ripley’s 521.
On the individual leaderboard, Heilers finished seventh overall after coming into the clubhouse with a 107 and Prather was one stroke behind at 108, claiming the last spot on the All-Conference list. Prather’s score on the Milan side of the day was followed by Grace Bedel at 116, a 120 from Kaitlynn Hicks and Lily Potter’s 127. Nautia Williams shot a 123 for Jac-Cen-Del and the Lady Eagles were rounded out by Sophie Muth with a 129 and Maddie Bunnell at 130.
South Ripley’s top golfer was Lilly Jones with a 116 and teammate Callie Comer followed at 127. Jocelyn Meador’s 138 was followed by a 140 apiece from Kayleigh Bearden and Aliyah Grigsby to finish out the Lady Raider roster.
The Lady Raiders, Jac-Cen-Del and Milan are all set to golf tonight in the Ripley County Championship at North Branch Golf Course.
