Sunman Parade offering $500 for the best Christmas float

If you’ve got an idea for a great Christmas float, you will want to enter it into the 2024 Sunman Santa & Friends Parade on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00 p.m. for the chance to win $500!

The Sunman Fire, EMS and police, along with the Legion Color Guard and Sunman Elementary Color Guard will lead the parade that will start at the Sunman Elementary School and end at the Sunman American Legion.

Staging and line-up will begin at noon with participants encouraged to throw out candy. The parade will end at the Legion where pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause will be available, along with free cookie decorating and more.
You can still get in on donating for this grand parade by contacting Julie at 812-209-9110. Donations will provide gift bags, time with Santa, games and refreshments.

The winning float will be judged on spirit, originality, and creativity. The entry form for the floats must be completed, printed, signed and dropped off at the Sunman Town Hall, 604 N.
