Local duo reaches volleyball milestones

Milan’s Emma Voss and Jac-Cen-Del’s Molli Weber celebrated career achievements on Saturday as Voss recorded her 1000th career assist and Weber tallied a 1000th career dig.

A pair of coverage area seniors on the volleyball court reached career milestones this past Saturday as part of the opening weekend of the fall sports season.

Jac-Cen-Del’s Molli Weber tallied her 1000th career dig while Milan senior Emma Voss reached 1000 career assists. Both student-athletes took part in invitational play on Saturday to reach the major marks.

Weber achieved the mark as Jac-Cen-Del competed in the annual Morristown Invitational. Jac-Cen-Del was able to pick up a 2-0 win over Hauser by set scores of 25-17 and 25-19 but remaining scores from the day along with individual statistics were not provided by time of print.

Voss notched her assist total as Milan fell in two matches at the East Central Invitational. The Lady Indians lost 2-0 to Bloomington South and fell 2-0 to the host school. Scores and statistics were not provided by time of print.

Jac-Cen-Del is set for action tonight at Edinburgh and Milan is on the road this evening as well, traveling to South Dearborn.
