Raider boys claim conference title

South Ripley boys bowling is a champion again after the Raiders claimed the Southeastern Indiana Conference Championship this past weekend.
The Raiders fended off Scottsburg to win the title, defeating the Warriors by 24 pins. Three bowlers for South Ripley earned conference recognition following action on the lanes.
Sophomore Jaiden Ketchum was named All-Conference after finishing third with a scoring average of 187.7. Two teammates were named All-Conference Honorable Mention. Marc Miller finished sixth overall with an average of 175.2 and right behind was a sophomore in Jacob May at 172.3.
Other Raiders bowling in the match included Ashton Laker who was 12th at 152.9, Triston Smith in 15th at 155.7 and Gabe Stewart in 17th at 151.9.
Sectional action for high school bowling begins on January 10 and extends through January 11.
