Get ready to shop and save this Saturday
You have to do just a little leg work, but the rewards will be worth it! The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with multiple businesses and agencies throughout the county to give shoppers a wonderful shopping experience at the 5th Saturday event.
Every 5th Saturday – there are four in 2026 – January 31, May 30, August 29, and October 31 – various businesses will participate in special discounts. Your initial cost is $10 where you will receive a card and a tote. The bag will ensure the customer will receive the 5th Saturday deals. The shopping card can be used anytime throughout the year to visit participating businesses. Return the completed card to the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce at 220 E US Highway 50 in Versailles for a free Support Local Everything T-shirt. Bags that come with the cards can be purchased at any participating business, along with the Chamber.
Current participants include: Traveling Boutique, Versailles, Southeastern IN YMCA, Batesville, The Hub at Osgood, Gypsy Soul Essential Oils & Gifts, Batesville, Novel HEARTs, Versailles, The Upper Room Café, Osgood, The Old Schubox, Batesville, George’s Pharmacy and Gifts, Batesville and Versailles locations, Velozity Boards & More, Batesville, Walnut Street Variety Shop, Batesville, Emily’s Brew, Versailles, The Stitchery & Timeline Tux, Batesville, Candyland Creations and More, Batesville, Concepts Custom Framing, Batesville, Memories of Yesteryear, Versailles, Sunshine Sisters Plant Shop, Batesville, Chozen Designs, Versailles, Napa Auto Parts, Versailles, Hart Insurance Agency, Osgood, Precision Style and Boutique, Batesville and Versailles locations, Dice and Needle, Batesville, and Romweber Marketplace, Batesville.

The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce partnered with Ripley County Tourism, Ripley County Economic Development, Main Street Versailles, Batesville Main Street, Sunman Business Coalition, Towns of Milan, Osgood, Napoleon, Versailles, Sunman, City of Batesville and Village of Friendship to make this initiative possible.
Merkel noted, “Batesville Area Retailers started this to help support their local businesses, but I felt it needed a wider audience.” She said this opportunity connects agencies and businesses to bring the customer the best price to make local shopping affordable and enjoyable. “This is an opportunity to not only help Chamber members, but all community businesses,” she concluded.
