In Versailles a new kind of healthcare is taking root in Ripley County, a type of holistic healthcare rooted in personalization, compassion and a belief that true wellness goes beyond treating symptoms.
Alora Health, founded by Ripley County native Vanessa Roll, APRN, MSN, CEO, offers an integrated approach to care. The care at Alora Health is designed to meet the patients where they are and guide them toward long term health.
For Roll the journey into healthcare began long before her professional career. Inspired by her grandmother, Flora Fraley, a Qualified Medication Aide who purchased Silver Bell (now Silver Memories) in 1982, Rolls passion for nursing has deep roots.
“My grandmother is my hero” Roll told the Osgood Journal.
That generational influence continues to guide her work today. Growing up Roll said her dream was to be a mother, nurse and a teacher. Today, she has combined all three providing patient care while also training the next generation of healthcare workers through Alora College of Health Sciences. Roll remains committed to education through Alora College of Health Sciences, which offers technical certifications for Certified Nursing Assistant and Qualified Medication Aide. Roll is working on expanding to become an accredited program and soon will be offering Medical Assistant and Massage therapist Certifications.
At the heart of Alora Health is what Roll calls the “Alora Protocol”, a comprehensive 360 approach to wellness.
The Alora Protocol is a 6-month wellness program designed to align the body, mind and spirit through a fully personalized care plan. Each patient begins with lab testing and a comprehensive exam. This allows the providers to identify any under lying issues rather than just treating the symptoms.
From there patients work with a team that include a nurse practitioner, health coach, dietitian, mental health professional and massage therapist. The program is offered in tiered packages to be able to meet varying needs and budgets. Initial appointments are around 45 minutes, to allow providers to fully understand each patient’s needs. Roll said, “We want to know what’s truly going on and what’s best for each individual, it is not one size fits all here.”
Other services available at Alora include Preventative Care, Same-Day Sick Care, Wellness Exams, Senior Care Consulting, Referral Assistance, Medication Management, IV Hydration, Massage Therapy, Mental Health Therapy Sessions, Energy Healing, Glo Facial, Redlight Therapy, Dietician services and much more.
Alora Health is located at 112 W South St, Versailles but as the practice continues to grow Roll shared, they are opening a second location in Madison, located at 703 Green Road Suite #1, Madison. If you are looking for a different type of healthcare Alora Health aims to move beyond traditional care by focusing on prevention, lifestyle optimization and root cause solutions.
