Robert Eugene “Bob” Kirk, Sr

Robert Eugene “Bob” Kirk, Sr., of Madison, Indiana, born on April 9, 1935 in Knox County, Indiana, passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 91. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, widely known for his tireless work ethic and love for his family and friends. His passion for life was evident in all aspects, from his 40-year career as a truck driver with ABF Freightlines to the joy he found in raising a large garden on his 5-acre farm he previously owned in Rexville.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Bethel Carmichael Kirk, of Madison, Indiana; his children, Cheryl Moore and her companion Steve Freeman of Lafayette, Indiana, Ricky Kirk and his wife Rebecca of North Judson, Indiana, Gary Kirk and his wife Lynn of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Vicki Taylor and her husband Steve of Madison, Indiana, Randy Kirk and his wife Lisa of Dillsboro, Indiana, Dale Kirk and his wife Marilyn of Butlerville, Indiana; his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar F. and Sarah Matilda “Tilly” Snyder Kirk; his first wife and mother of his children, Dixie Morrison Kirk; his second wife, Betty Kirk; his sons Robert Jr. and Steven Kirk; his siblings Imogene Hall, Audrey Turner, Gilbert Kirk, Oscar Kirk Jr., Clarence Kirk, Jerry Kirk, Rosie Dillon, and Glenna Maddox.
The visitation for Bob will be held at the Point of Grace Family Praise Fellowship, located at 3304 U.S. 421, Madison, Indiana, 47250, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, starting at 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 1:00 pm.
