Graduations begin with SCC last week
The Southeastern Career Center 2025 Graduation ceremony was a packed house on Thursday, May 15. The event was held at South Ripley High School. Tears of joy and smiles were filled throughout the crowd and among classmates as this was the end of one chapter and the start of another new journey for the students. There are 15 programs that students have an opportunity to learn a certified trade. There are mentorship programs, along with sign-on’s to colleges. These are great opportunities for students that can lead to successful futures.

Alcohol could be contributing factor in serious crash
According to information from Sheriff Rob Bradley Ripley County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Saturday, May 17 around 10:30 p.m. The crash involved an off-road vehicle in the 3000 block of North Old Michigan Road. When police arrived they found a Polaris Ranger and a Chevrolet Silverado in the roadway. The crash was almost a complete head-on collision between the vehicles.

Bulldogs repeat as EIAC champions
Batesville put all four scoring golfers on the All-Conference Team and such an effort paved the way for the Bulldogs to earn a repeat title as part of the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference Boys Golf Championship on Saturday.
