Jerry L. Judge, Sr.

Jerry L. Judge, Sr., age 68, of Hanover, entered this life on June 19, 1950 in Scottsburg. He was the loving son of Mary Etta Rogers Judge Taylor and Lawrence Judge. He resided most all of his life in Jefferson County and was a member of the Class of 1969 at Madison Consolidated High School. On May 3, 1986 Jerry was united in marriage to Cheryl Anne Hull at the Hopewell Baptist Church near Holton.

This happy union blended two families together of eight children. He retired after 28 years of service at Ameriform Manufacturing in Carrollton, Kentucky as a supervisor. He then worked for several years in maintenance with the town of Hanover. He was baptized and attended the West Madison United Methodist Church earlier in life. Jerry was an avid collector of coins and pocket knives. He enjoyed hunting earlier in life, and later watching game shows, woodworking, was a great handy man and could make or fix anything.  

Jerry died on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 8:13 a.m. at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, surrounded by his loving family.  

Jerry will be missed by his loving wife of 33 years, Cheryl Anne Hull Judge of Hanover; his children, Lisa Bruner and her husband, Bill of Hanover,  Kimberly Judge and her companion, Andy Bennett of Lexington, Indiana, Jerry L. “Jay” Judge, Jr. and his wife, Melinda of Hanover, Cherilyn Miller of Madison, Natalie A. Miller of Lexington, Indiana, Andy Miller and his wife, Jenny of Madison, Tony Miller and his wife, Susan of Cincinnati, Ohio, Nick Miller and his wife, Erin of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Dakota, Mitchel (Emily), Kyle, Logan, Devin, Hannah, Zachary, Sara, Bryceann, Brooklyn, Alex, Maverick, Joe, Harry, Nick, Charlie, Jaxon, Jett, Christian, Lanie, and Carsen; his great grandchildren, Jaxen, Phoenix, Owen, Evelynn, and Oakley; his sisters, Joyce Wentworth and Janice Hoffman both of Madison; his uncle, Billy Judge and his wife, Linda of Scottsburg; his brothers-in-law and sisters -in-law, Merrill and Pat Hull, Jim and Carol Hull, Mike and Babs Hull and Phyllis Hull; his father, Lawrence Judge of Franklin, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Etta Rogers Judge Taylor, died February 11, 1998, his granddaughter, Alexis Jae “Lexi” Ritch, died March 26, 2002, his father in law and mother in law, Wayne and Carole Hull, and his brother in law, Kenneth Wentworth.  

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 23, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Scott Kollman at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison.  Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
