Karen L. Rohlfing

Karen L. Rohlfing, 61, of Napoleon passed away at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 1, 1958, the daughter of Maurice and Patricia Stephens Meyers. She was married to Nick Rohlfing on September 23, 1978 and he survives. 

Other survivors include one son Kent (Kim) Rohlfing of Ft. Myers, Florida; one daughter Abby (Luke) Arnold of Greenwood; one granddaughter Charlotte Arnold; her parents Maurice and Patricia Meyers of Osgood; father-in-law Howard Rohlfing of Napoleon; one brother William (Annie) Meyers of Fishers; two sisters Diane McKinney of Greensburg, and Joan (Paul) Grady of Midland, Michigan, and 13 nieces and nephews; her brother-in-law Tracy (Beth) Rohlfing of Batesville; sister-in-law Barbara Tackett of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Sidney Rohlfing. 

Mrs. Rohlfing was a 1976 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. She was a 43 year employee of the Napoleon State Bank and was currently serving as clerk-treasurer for the Town of Napoleon, a position she had held for over 30 years. Karen had also served as a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 20 years. She was an avid IU fan, but the light of her life was being grandma to “Charlee” and also spending time with her large family. Growing up, Karen attended the Mud Pike Baptist Church and was currently a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Napoleon. 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 8 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Napoleon with Pastor Jack Dixon officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
