Goble Lee Patrick
Goble Lee Patrick, age 80, of Versailles passed away early August 30, 2019 surrounded by his family. Goble was born on July 30, 1939, the son of the late George and Fannie (Holland) Patrick in Lee City, Kentucky. In his early childhood, the family moved to the Holton community where he grew up along with his brother and sisters.
Goble attended school and then went home to work, on the family farm. In the mid 1950’s his life would be forever changed, when he would meet future wife Jacqueline Forwalt. They were united in marriage in Dabney on August 6, 1960 and they were blessed with a son and daughter.
He worked for nearly 30 years at Williams Plastic in Shelbyville and helped Ray Menchhofer on the farm. Goble enjoyed helping at the drive- in movie theater near his home in Versailles.
When you talk about a family man, Goble Patrick was a role model. He and Jacqueline raised their children in a loving Christian home, and instilled values and character. He seldom missed an event his grandkids were involved in, they were his pride and joy. He loved to go camping and fishing, as it provided time with his family.
Goble will be sadly missed by wife Jacqueline; daughter Sharon (Todd) Menchhofer of Osgood; son Steve ( Teresa) Patrick of Osgood; grandchildren. Alisha, Jacqlyn, TJ, Kyle (Jess) and Jeni (John); great grandchildren, Allison, Liam, Connor, and Keegan, brother Lester (Jaunita) Patrick and sister Edith Mink. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Chester, Virgil, Richard, and Ernest, along with sister Elania.
