South Ripley bowlers open season

Bowling season is underway for the South Ripley Raiders. On Saturday, October 12, boys and girls varsity and junior varsity teams traveled to Columbus for their first competition.
The boys varsity defeated Seymour and Switzerland County in that opening match, with Joseph Brewington leading his team with high scores of 233 and 181.
Boys individual scores included: Joe Brewington 233, 181, 166, 147; Reese Swingle 96, 123, 98, 119; Jake Grossman 135, 197, 191, 180; Tyler Liming 224, 175, 154, 163; Chase Thomas 169, 179, 169, 156; Travis Benning 65, 70, 57, 112; Luke Fields 141, 137, 117, 161; Eli Liming 56, 80, 51, 63; and Devin Castner 138, 124, 123, 91.
The girls lost their opening match against Seymour and Scottsburg. Jasmine Almaraz led her team with high scores of 147 and 164. The junior varsity team won both of their matches.
Girls individual scores included: Anna Barrett 88, 77; Isabella Prosser 84, 82; Ellie Waldron 105, 100; Adelle Nuxoll 98, 151; Jasmine Almaraz 147, 164; and Taylor Jordan 89, 118, 82, 93.
Bowlers traveled to Scottsburg on Saturday, October 26 for their second match of the season. Jake Grossman led his Raiders to a win over Madison and Scottsburg. The Lady Raiders and junior varsity won both of their matches as well.
