Edna Maxine Drockelman

Edna Maxine Drockelman, age 92 formerly of Lookout, passed away November 29, 2019 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. Maxine was born on April 18, 1927 in the community of Laughery Creek in Ripley County to John and Mary (nee: Swango) Whisman. She married Arthur Earl Drockelman on June 26, 1947 in Shelbyville. Her husband proceeded her in death on April 19, 1985.

Maxine was a member of Adams Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aide. She was a lifetime member of the Napoleon VFW Ladies Auxiliary as well as the Ripley County Saddle Club.

Survivors include son, James (Donna) Drockelman of Osgood and daughter, Jacqueline Paul of Greensburg; three grandsons, Travis (Nichole) Drockelman of Batesville, Trevor Drockelman of Osgood and Joshua (Diana) Paul of Avon; and eight great grandchildren, Matthew, Logan, Emma & Seth Drockelman, Justice & Jalen Thoman, Ellie & Parker Paul.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her six siblings, Lee Whisman, John Whisman, Frances Crowell, Marceal Graves, Rosetta Whisman and Angela Whisman.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 4 from 10 a.m. -12 noon followed by 12:00 p.m. funeral service all at Adams Lutheran Church in Batesville. Burial will be in Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Tamara Keen officiating.
