Ruth C. Wenning, 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville.

Born, May 16, 1927 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Frank J. and Clara A. (Veerkamp) Brancamp.

Ruth was a housewife and formerly worked at the Shoe Factory in Osgood and was an employee at the Muscatatuck Development Center in Butlerville. She was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Osgood, the Ladies Auxillary at the church, and the Ladies Auxillary at the VFW. Ruth was married to Carl W. Wenning on October 12, 1946 in Millhousen and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2011.

Ruth is survived by one son Frank C. Wenning, Osgood, two daughters Rosalie J. Calhoun, Osgood, Susan C. (Mike) Youngman, Madison, seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Frank H. and Alfred B. Brancamp, four sisters Marian F. Thewes, Hazel F. Lochard, Laura M. Brackney, Ethel A. Redelman, and great grandson Justin Ricke.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 20 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m. prior to visitation. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Osgood. with Rev. Bill Turner officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Napoleon.
