Ripley County has some sharp shooters

The Versailles American Legion Junior Shooting Sports Program took first place in the Indiana State Air Rifle Civilian Marksmanship Program Championship over the weekend. They placed first with a score of 2000-36. The top three shooters of the day were Maggie Holt with a score of 529.16, Trenton Franklin, 502.5 and Tanner Franklin, 488.7. They will be competing in the National Air Rifle competition in Georgia. Find out more about these outstanding young shooters in The Versailles Republican this week.


Trial postponed again for teen accused of murdering two siblings; prosecution ready

A year ago the Osgood Journal was reporting that the trial for Nickalas James Kedrowitz, was being postponed. The Osgood teenager, who had been waived into adult court, has been accused of killing two younger siblings with the case dating back to May of 2017.
