Charles Edward “Buddy” Waller

Charles Edward “Buddy” Waller, 89, of Lexington, Indiana, formerly of Madison, entered this life on December 30, 1931 in Westport, Kentucky.  He was the loving son of the late William Edward and Emma K. Wright Waller.  He was inducted into the United States Air Force on February 12, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky.  He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant serving during the Korean War.  He was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  He was then discharged and transferred to the National Guard of Kentucky.  Buddy was also a LaGrange police officer.

Private services will be conducted Friday, May 7, 2021, at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.  Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  A final salute and military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.  Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison.
