Pillar of Osgood passes away at 98

Robert “Bobby Keith” Day, passed away last week after blessing his Osgood community for 98 years.
Day, described as a “true pillar of Osgood” left behind a legacy of knowledge and memorabilia that now graces the Osgood Museum. If you ever had your picture in the local papers, it’s probably in one of his albums that are now on display there.

Bricktoberfest has record attendance

The day dawned with sunshine promising to provide perfect weather for the 2021 Bricktoberfest in Osgood. It didn’t disappoint. From the opening until the last song was heard from the bands, people gathered on or near the Brick Street in Osgood to enjoy the festivities that included a car show, opening of the Osgood Lions Mini Park, a walk/run, many vendors and much more including bands to close out the evening.
Editor’s Note: watch for more coverage of this event in Thursday’s Versailles Republican that includes the unveiling of the park.

Friendship Flea Market in full swing

The cars lined up getting into Friendship on Saturday as the Friendship Flea Market got underway this past weekend. The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association is also going on in the small village that now boasts thousands of people. The flea market will continue this week through September 19. They have a little bit of something for everyone.
