Joyce E. Hahn

Joyce E. Hahn, 77, passed away on April 16, 2022 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. Born, October 11, 1944 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Clarence Joseph and Mary Stella (Thewes) Veerkamp.

Joyce attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and was a 1963 graduate of Greensburg High School. She worked at Carol Cook Dress Factory, Garrett Garment, Sunny Crest Distributors, and then helped her husband on their cattle farm. Joyce was married to Marvin Hahn on May 27, 1967 and he survives. She is also survived by two brothers, Charles Veerkamp, Dale Veerkamp: five sisters; Betty Hudnall, Gladys Catron, Helen (Chauncey) Robbins, Diane (Sheldon) Roberts, Sharon Veerkamp: several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clarence “Huck” Veerkamp, Bob Veerkamp, three sisters, Eleanora Bartholomew, Georgianna Veerkamp, Mary Catherine Roseberry.

Family and friends gathered at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg to pray the rosary. Visitation followed from 4 to 7:00 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial followed at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
