Mr. Devon Alexander Douglas Lewis, age 18, of Canaan, Indiana near Pleasant entered this life on May 20, 2004 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana. He resided his early life in St. Leon, Indiana and the family moved to the Pleasant area five years ago. He had graduated high school and received his diploma for residential electrician through Penn Foster. He had worked for three years with Wickey Construction in Pleasant and was currently employed with Bertke Electric as an apprentice electrician contracted through NAS. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and gaming. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend. Devon died on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. in a motorcycle accident in Ripley County, Indiana.

Devon will be missed by his loving parents, Karen R. Alig and Kevin W. Erlewein of Pleasant, Indiana; his loving brothers, Wyatt Erlewein and Isaiah West of Canaan, Indiana; his loving maternal grandpa, Garry William Alig of Madison, Indiana; his paternal grandmother, Rose Erlewein of Versailles, Indiana; his uncles, Brian Alig of Madison, Indiana, George Erlewein of Greensburg, Indiana; his cousins, Blake and Jayden Alig; several great aunts, great uncles and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandma, Alice Victoria Roark Alig, died October 31, 2021.

Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Devon Lewis Remembrance Fund.
