Sheriff’s Office teams up with Milan JayC Store

Cram the Cruiser was a successful campaign thanks to the JayC Store in Milan, who donated a truck load of food to the Milan Food Bank. Sheriff’s deputies from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office were on hand to take the groceries to the food bank.


Deputies respond to fatal crash on Saturday, Dec. 14

According to Sgt. Randy Holt of the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, they were dispatched for a single vehicle accident at approximately 11:28 a.m. on Saturday, December 14. The crash, which occurred on US 421 near the intersection of County Road 100 North, north of Versailles, involved injuries that led to the death of James Van Evans, 69, of Rushville.
