Winter Games held at Perfect North Slopes
Local athletes from the Ripley-Ohio-Dearborn chapter of Special Olympics Indiana recently competed at the annual Winter Games on Monday and Tuesday, January 6-7 at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg. The ROD delegation was the largest at the event with 62 registered athletes and unified partners along with 22 volunteers and chaperones.

Overcrowded jails on the agenda for Frye
With the first day of the 2020 Legislative Session opened on Monday, January 6, State Representative Randy Frye was ready to roll. Frye told The Versailles Republican, while this is a non-budget session and will be completed by March 14, he has some things he wants to see accomplished.

Ripley Co. Basketball HOF inducts Class of 2020
Seven inductees were recognized as the Class of 2020 for the Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 11 at Batesville High School. The ceremony took place between the consolation and championship games of the boys tournament. Each inductee was introduced with highlights of their accomplishments in basketball and in life and received a warm congratulations from the crowd.
