$1.5M renovation gives Buckeye Village new life

Buckeye Village, Inc., 830 S. Buckeye Street, Osgood, recently got a facelift to the tune of $1.5M. It was originally built in the early ‘80’s to provide affordable housing for seniors and people with disabilities. The newly renovated 33-unit federally funded apartment complex now boasts energy efficiency the old apartments did not have.


Food & Growers Association to have annual meeting

The Food & Growers Association (FGA) announces the date for its annual meeting, which will be held Wednesday, September 18, 6:30 p.m., all FGA members and the public are invited to attend the annual meeting, to be held at the Pavilion at Liberty Park in Batesville. This meeting will be held in conjunction with the September Community Gathering.


JCD student drivers to design their parking spot

JCD High School plans to allow students who drive to school a chance to design (with approval) their own parking spot for the year. Students who decide to participate will be given guidelines and pay a nominal fee, which will go towards a scholarship for a graduating senior.
