First graders in Mrs. Halcomb’s class dressed as Santa’s elves as they celebrated the 12 days of Christmas.

Batesville built up an early lead on Tuesday night and then thwarted a late game comeback by Jac-Cen-Del as the Lady Bulldogs were a 56-43 winner over the Lady Eagles in the second opening round game of the Ripley County Girls Basketball Tournament at Milan.
