South Ripley hosts home bowling match

South Ripley bowlers enjoyed a home meet on Saturday, November 9 when they hosted Columbus North and Scottsburg at Pollard’s Bowl in Versailles.
SR bowling coach Ron Pollard commended his girls varsity team on a big comeback victory over the previously undefeated Scottsburg team. With the win, the Lady Raiders improved to a 4-2 record with eight meets remaining in the year.
The Lady Raiders are currently second in their conference, behind the 5-1 Scottsburg team. Seymour sits in third place with a 2-4 record and Columbus North trails in fourth at 1-5.
Opposite of the girls team, the varsity boys held an early lead over Columbus North, only to fall victim to a comeback by the blue and white squad, thus handing the Raiders their first loss of the season.
