Alfred Thomas Wheelden

Alfred Thomas Wheelden, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in St. Cloud, Florida. He was born July 26, 1943 in Milan, the son of Frank and Florence Wheelden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Huesman; one son, Tommy Wheelden; and one granddaughter, Jada Lunsford. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Wheelden of Kissimmee, Florida; one son, Ethan (Lisa) Wheelden of Delaware Twp; two daughters, Rebecca Braunm of Crossville, TN, and Natalie Lunsford of Greensburg; three stepchildren, Tari Mohr, FL, Jeannette Carl (Bill) of Columbus, OH and Kevin (Melanie) Mohr of Houston, TX. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Wheelden was a resident of Delaware Twp. in Ripley County until December 1999 when he retired and moved to Kissimmee, Florida. When a resident of Indiana he was employed by Indiana Department of Transportation as a senior inspector and in Florida he was an inspector for the Department of Engineering for Osceola County Road Dept.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Osgood and Lighthouse Baptist Church in Intercession City, Florida. He was a member of Masonic lodges in both Indiana and Florida. Mr. Wheelden served in the U.S. Army and spent one year in Vietnam. He was proud to be an American, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Christian.
