Barbara Ann Branson

Barbara Ann Branson, 59, of Scipio, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, in North Vernon. Born March 27, 1962, in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Emma (Reynolds) Walke and the late Kenneth C. Walke.


Barbara was a 1983 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School and attended Ivy Tech College. She was employed as a forklift operator for KB Foods in Greensburg before retiring. Barbara enjoyed listening to music, riding motorcycles, traveling, going to flea markets and out to eat, especially Chinese food, flowers and sitting on her front porch. Barbara was a free spirit and lived for her family.


Survivors include her son, Nathaniel Paul Love of Indianapolis; daughters, Annie (Mathew) Westerman of Scipio, Emily (Christopher P. Snyder) Love of North Vernon and Jannie (Matthew) Jackson of Westport; mother, Emma Walke of Napoleon; brothers, Daniel Walke and John Walke; sisters, Debbie Darringer, Patty Walke, Cathy Olds and Michelle Arnett; grandchildren, Haley, Alexis and Jacob Elliott, Linkin Jackson, Amie Love, Lucas Sergent, Connor Jackson, Ellison Love, Eli and Delilah Snyder; great-grandchild, Aylena Lortie; and best-friend, Kim Yonts. She was preceded in death by her father, and brother, Timothy Walke.


A celebration of life for Barbara will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Osgood Animal Shelter.
