Beth Hewitt Kraus

Beth Hewitt Kraus, 65, of Guilford passed away at 11:50 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home. She was born in Batesville on April 13, 1955 the daughter of Gerald and Carolyn Schlotman Williams. She was married to James Kraus on July 26, 2014 and he survives.


Other survivors include one son Micah Hewitt of Holton; one daughter Sarah (Ryan) Tekulve of Batesville; five grandchildren; three brothers Mark (Jana) Williams of Edinburgh, Steve (Beth) Williams of Nashville, Tennessee, and Andy (Theresa) Williams of Greensburg; one sister Lisa (Dennis) Granger of Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sue Rice.


Mrs. Kraus attended school at Holton and was a 1973 graduate of South Ripley High School. She was a former employee of Seagrams in Lawrenceburg and retired this year from Eurostampa North America in Cincinnati where she worked in purchasing. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, tending to her garden, baking for family and friends, and her trips to the old family farm at Flat Rock. Beth attended the Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church.


Beth’s wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at the Union Flat Rock Baptist Church west of Osgood with Beth’s nephew Stephan Rice officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will also be at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Memorials may be given to Loving Hearts Hospice in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
