Billie Gail Higdon

Billie Gail Higdon, 81, of North Vernon, passed away at 2:51 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Born December 23, 1939, in North Vernon, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Gascell) Williams. She married William Higdon on August 11, 1957, in North Vernon; he preceded her in death on November 23, 1982. Billie was a homemaker and housewife who enjoyed watching NASCAR and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (John) Minor of Seymour; grandchildren, Trista (Michael) Poman of Batesville and Adam Craig of Greensburg; great-grandchildren, Bailey Scoggins and Sierra Scoggins, both of Batesville, and Trenton Popejoy of Osgood; and sisters, Norma Milliman, Margaret Ann Wilder, Cherril Martin, and Donna Fugate, all of North Vernon and Mary Kay Fields of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Tom Higdon; granddaughter, Felicia Craig; and sister, Susan Williams.

Friends and family may call at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
