Carl Phillip Stirn

Carl Phillip “Phil” Stirn, of Brookville, was born on November 10, 1949, a son to Ival and Geraldine McDaniel Kelley. He married Sally Harper on June 18, 1988 and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2006. Phil had worked at Sperry and Rice and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fairfield. He loved his grandchildren, his Masonic lodge brothers, and American history – in particular Native American culture, and art expressed through his skillful reproductions. On Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the age of 69, Phil died in a car accident.

Those surviving who will cherish Phil’s memory include his children, Chris (Cat) Stirn of Decatur, GA, Scott (Kathy) Harper of Brookville, and Clay Heston of Cincinnati; five grandchildren, Tessa, Landon, and Audrey Harper, and Ella and Addie Stirn; three sisters, Kathy Ritzchke of CO, Connie Luttman of NC, and Barbara Guerro of NV; two brothers, Bruce Kelley of Brookville and Donald (Pid) Kelley of Brookville, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Stirn.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 20 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 2:30 at Cliff Hill Cemetery,Versailles.
