Clara Felix

Clara (Asche) Felix, age 100, said her final goodbyes to family and friends on Sunday September 22, 2019. She was born on April 12, 1919 the daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Raney) Asche. Clara lived her entire life in the Delaware community, growing up there and attending school along with her brothers and sisters.

Clara would meet Jack Felix and they were married on April 25, 1942. They would continue to live in the same area and build their home on Old Delaware Road. Clara loved the home they had built; Jack and Clara watched their family grow up around them. Clara enjoyed nature from animals to flowers, was a gifted painter and always made the best apple pies. Jack and Clara enjoyed traveling and spending their time together, a favorite past time was going out to eat, sometimes including a drive to Michigan for lunch and then back home. Clara worked for nearly 25 years for the Jac-Cen-Del school corporation before retiring in 1981.

She will be deeply missed by brother Floyd Asche, several nieces and nephews, along with numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Jack Felix, her parents, brothers; Clarence, Herschel, Carl, Gerald, Robert, Gene, and Leroy, and sisters Goldie and Sylvia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 26 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. followed by funeral services at 12 p.m., all at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood.
