Joe D. Fuller, 88, of Milan passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Joe was born on Thursday, August 3, 1933 in Hindman, Kentucky; son of Harlan and Florence (Ritchie) Fuller. Joe married the love of his life, Dona Bohlke, on April 4, 1953. Joe attended St. Paul Methodist Church. He proudly served our country in the National Guard.


Joe worked for Schenley Distillery in Greendale for more than 35 years as a foreman. He enjoyed working, farming, and gardening. He loved to travel, and enjoyed the water, whether he was boating, water skiing, swimming, or fishing in Florida with his brother. He also enjoyed bird hunting, playing softball, and bowling in a league.


Joe will be missed by his wife, of nearly 69 years, Dona, of Milan; daughter Diana Kohlmeier (Kendall) of Milan; son Jeff (Gretchen) Fuller of Sunman; sister Hazel Cornett of Milan; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Florence, and three brothers Harlan, Harold, and Howard Fuller.


Family and friends may gather in remembering Joe from 4:00-6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 also at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul Methodist Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Milan American Legion Post #235. Memorials may be given in honor of Joe to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
