John F. Landthaler

John F. Landthaler, 78, of Milan passed away at 3:05pm, Thursday, April 29th, 2021 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born near Norwood, Ohio on April 14th, 1943 the son of Eugene and Jean Ruth Mill Landthaler. He was married to Connie Bayley on September 30th, 1972 and his wife of 48 years survives.


Other survivors include two daughters Heidi (Jared) Levering of Milan and Melanie (Mark) Bennett of South Lebanon, Ohio; 3 grandchildren Ethan, Braeden and Morgan Bennett, one sister Eugenia (Howard) Thomas of Indian Hill, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents.


Mr. Landthaler was a research and development lab technician for Proctor and Gamble. He enjoyed astronomy, math, and science. John had his pilot’s license and also was an amateur radio enthusiast.


John was a member of the Moores Hill Church of Christ. John’s wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 31st at 11 am at the Washington Baptist Church in Elrod. Visitation will begin at 10am. Memorials may be given to the Washington Baptist Church or the Moores Hill Church of Christ in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
