Judith Kay “Tiger Red” Wildey


Judith Kay “Tiger Red” Wildey, 76, of Freetown, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at her residence. Born October 3, 1944, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Murrell and Virginia (Beech) Wildey.


Judith was a 1963 graduate of North Vernon High School and worked in nursing home care. She had previously worked for Dairy Queen and worked as a meter maid in North Vernon. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in North Vernon. Judith enjoyed tigers, watching NASCAR and wrestling, playing video games, bingo, and bowling on the Nintendo Wii.


She is survived by her son, Derrek (Heather) Foster of Freetown; daughter, Justina (Leo) Petro of Scipio; sister, Sharon Wildey of Vermont; grandchildren, T.J. Foster of Freetown, Kaylie Foster and Zoey Foster, both of Lebanon, Margie (Chad) Hemmingway of Carrollton, Kentucky and Jessica (James) Karn of Greendale; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Lee and Jaylyn Karn, all of Greendale. She was preceded in death by her parents.


Private services will be held at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Memorials may be made in honor of Judith through the funeral home for expenses.
