Kelly Gay Seevers

Kelly Gay Seevers, 44, of Dillsboro, Indiana, passed away peacefully, after losing the battle to cancer, on Thursday, February 10, 2022 with Rick at her side. She was born May 14, 1977, in Batesville, IN, daughter of Michael K. Seevers and the late Megan (Long) Brown.


Kelly worked in shipping and sales for Aurora Casket Company, Seevers Excavating, Laws Carr Moore Funeral Home, Gardens Alive and Dillsboro Manor. She was a 1995 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School, and a graduate of the Mid-America College of Funeral Service. She was a member of the Dillsboro American Legion Auxilliary.


Kelly was a free spirit and was up for anything at the spur of the moment. She was a kind hearted person who loved helping people in any and all aspects of life. She enjoyed boating and just dipping her feet in the creek. She enjoyed listening to all types of music, and loved her cats Jezzabell, Sullivan, Rocho, Cooper and Cinnamon. Kelly walked in the Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk in October in memory of her “Nanny”, Gloria Seevers.


Kelly is survived by her father, Mike Seevers; the love of her life, Rick Stapleton; siblings, Tracy Davis of Carrollton, KY, Stacy (Chris) Johnson of Crittenden, KY; step father, Roger Mueller; nieces, Faith & Taylor Smith; nephews, Hunter Davis & Christopher Johnson; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Megan Gay Brown; brother, Michael Landis; grandparents, Bill & Gloria Seevers.


Memorial Services will be held on Saturday February 19, 2022 at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN. from 11:00-2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Milan, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
