Kevin Asche

Kevin Asche, 56, of Columbus passed away at 7:30pm, Monday, January 23, 2022 at the Columbus Regional Hospital. He was born in Greensburg on September 24, 1965 and was married to Michelle Dill on February 14, 2011 and she survives.

Other survivors include his step-daughter Serena Hypes; step-granddaughter Shay; one brother Randall Asche of Versailles; one sister Laura Lane Jordan of Greensburg. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Asche, and his mother Thelma Catherine Davidson LaBonty.

Mr. Asche graduated high school from the Indiana School for the Blind. He attended Ball State University for two years studying computer science and was named to the Dean’s List. Kevin was a wonderful singer and enjoyed telling jokes and being an “aggravation” to those around him. He overcame many obstacles in his life and was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. Kevin was a member of the Parkside Baptist Church in Columbus.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will also be on Saturday beginning at 10am. Memorials may be given to the cemetery in care of the funeral home.
