Marcus “Mark” McKittrick

Marcus “Mark” McKittrick, 61, of Versailles, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at the Hospice of St. Elizabeth in Erlanger, Kentucky. He was born in Lawrenceburg on July 30, 1959, the son of Howard and Virginia Stevens McKittrick. Survivors include three sons, Travis (Ashton) McKittrick of Modesto, California, Ryan McKittrick of Milan, and Craig (Ashlee) McKittrick of Warner Robins AFB, Georgia, one daughter Jamie McKittrick of Florence, Kentucky, 5 grandchildren, one brother Michael McKittrick of King, North Carolia, four sisters Jeanette (David) Miller of Fancy Gap, Virginia, Myrna Dunaway of Hope, Brenda Moore of Moores Hill, and Sharon McKittrick and her husband Tom Huck of Indianapolis. He was proceeded in death by his father, and his mother Virginia Custer McDonald.


Mark was a 1977 graduate of Milan High School. He served in the US Marines from 1976 until 1980. Upon discharge from the Marines, Mark became employed with the Halcomb Home Center in Versailles and marked 40 years there on November 1st. Mark was a member of the Versailles Masonic Lodge. Mark’s mother Virginia passed away on November 2nd and his services will be held in conjunction with hers on Tuesday, November 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Harris Long officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
