Marilyn Webb

Marilyn Webb

Marilyn Webb, age 68, of Versailles passed away surrounded by her family early Saturday morning, January 30, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1952 in Tachikawa, Japan. Her parents were the late George and Lucile (Girtman) Ricketson.

She would end up around the community of Valdosta, GA, where a poor game of pool would end up changing her life. Little did she know that Dwight Webb not only offered to help improve her pool game but would also take her hand in marriage on April 16, 1976. She did go on to win many games of pool. For the first years of marriage, they owned and operated a local bar, before selling and moving on. Life would see them spend time in Florida and Texas. They then moved to the Versailles community spending their last 22 years. Marilyn worked several years for Nanco Uniforms and Ohio Rod. She retired in December of 2017. She enjoyed spending time with her family, riding horses, fishing and watching old western movies.

She is survived by husband Dwight Webb, son Bobby West, daughter Deann (Webb) McMeans, brother Robert Ricketson; sisters, Loretta (Bill) Westmoreland, Gwen Whitman and Zelina Shiver; along with 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and faithful companion Max. She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Chase McMeans.
