Mary F. Manship

Mary F. Manship, 59, of Freetown, formerly of Versailles, passed away at 2:45 a.m., Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. She was born in Kokomo on October 21, 1961, the daughter of Leonard and Kathryn Fangman Manship. Survivors include two sisters, Germaine (Richard) Grapevine of Seymour and Deldea Klueber of Terre Haute, nephews Andy Klueber of Terre Haute and Joseph Zagata of Seymour, nieces Melissa (Joseph) Wilson and Andrea Zagata both of Seymour, and Amanda (Matt) Betz of North Vernon. She was preceded in death by her parents.


Mary was a 1980 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School and had taken courses to receive her genealogy certification. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Osgood. She was very fond of animals and was proud that her family could donate the ground where the Ripley County Humane Society now sits today. Mary’s wishes were to be cremated and a service for her will be held at a later date at the convience of the family with burial in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Ripley County Humane Society in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
