Mrs. Faye (Siebein) Lewis, age 81, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on February 26, 1941 in New Marion, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late, Emmett Floyd and Ada Mae (LaFary) Siebein. Faye was raised in New Marion, Indiana and was a 1959 graduate of the New Marion High School. Faye was united in marriage on November 23, 1968 to James Richard “Jim” Lewis in New Marion, Indiana. Faye was a former member of the New Marion Baptist Church in New Marion, Indiana. Faye and Jim moved to the Switzerland County community in 1968 where they shared over 43 years of marriage together until Jim passed away on February 23, 2012. Faye was employed as a housekeeper for the Ogle Haus in Vevay, Indiana. She was later employed for the US Shoe Factory in Osgood and Vevay, Indiana for 10 years. She was also a former machine operator for Randall’s Textron in Vevay, Indiana for five years. Faye also helped on the family farm for several years. She was a faithful member of the Switzerland Baptist Church where she helped with the meals and vacation bible school. Faye also cleaned and decorated the church for several years and was a door greeter on Sunday mornings. Faye also attended the Union Baptist Church in Lamb, Indiana with her daughter, Connie. Faye enjoyed crafts, decorating, mowing the yard, flowers, and being outdoors. Above all, Faye loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Faye passed away at 6:50 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.

Faye will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Connie Adams of Vevay, IN; her son, Douglas Lane and his wife, Julie of Deputy, IN; her grandchildren, Kara Johnson and her husband, Kevin, Jacob Douglas Lane and his wife, April, Amy Lane, Will Whalen, Brandy Graham and her husband, Bud, Stephanie Whaley and her husband, Trent, Kristin Dietrich and her husband, Tadd and Kevin Adams and his wife, Emily; her great-grandchildren, Marissa Lane, Chloe Graham, Riley Simmons, Lily Grace Lane, Connor Whaley, Ryker Adams, Caroline Whaley, Finn Dietrich, Holden Whalen, Grant Whaley, Allie Whaley and baby girl Dietrich on the way; her brother, Floyd Gene Siebein of Versailles, IN; her sisters, Louise Estell of Seymour, IN, Rita Jo Sizemore of Holton, IN and Kay Franklin of Holton, IN and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Floyd Siebein, died March 22, 1988 and Ada Mae (LaFary) Siebein, died August 27, 1997; her husband, James Richard “Jim” Lewis, died February 23, 2012; her son-in-law, George Bryant Adams, died February 16, 2014; her sister, Mae Estell, died October 2, 2018 and her nephew, Floyd Gene Siebein, Jr., died December 1, 1980.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2022, by Pastor Mike Barnes and Dan Morgan, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
