Pamela Kay Risinger Stephenson

Mrs. Pamela “Pam” Kay Risinger  Stephenson, age 59, of Kent, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at her home. Pam entered this life on August 28, 1959 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was the loving daughter of the late Noah Denny and Ina Faye Combs Risinger. She resided in Ripley County and attended school in Milan and graduated in 1977 from South Ripley High School. She then received her Bachelors in Education from Tennessee Temple in 1982. She completed her student teaching in Chattanooga, Tennessee and began teaching in the classroom at Faith Temple Christian School in Louisville, Kentucky from 1982-1988. She then moved to Madison and began teaching at Grace Baptist from 1988-2009, then at Hope Baptist Academy from 2008-2016, and since 2017 at Scottsburg Christian Pre-School and Day-Care. 

On August 8, 1993 Pam was united in marriage to Ronald Edward Stephenson at the Grace Baptist Church in Madison. This happy union of 26 years was blessed with a daughter, Brianna Marie. Pam was a faithful member of the Grace Baptist Church and served wherever needed, any committee, having served as church clerk and Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed couponing, shopping, devoted to her family, her church work, an awesome cook and hostess and traveling was one of her other passions.  

She will be missed by her loving husband of 26 years, Ronald Edward “Ron” Stephenson of Kent; her beloved daughter, Brianna Marie Stephenson of Kent; her loving sisters, Penny Risinger Jones and her husband, David of Madison, Michelle Risinger Motz and her husband, Michael of Milan, Sherri Risinger Brown and her husband, George of Troy, Ohio, Cari Risinger Waymire and her husband, John of Carlisle, Kentucky; her sister in law, Glenda and Bob Kelly of Scipio, Indiana; her brother-in-law, Larry Stephenson of Elrod; her aunt, Norah Mae Risinger-Clark-Parker and her husband, Walt of Cottonwood, Alabama; her nephews, Michael, Austin, Clayton, Zach, Adam, Brian and Ethan; her niece, Morgan; several great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Noah Denny Risinger, died in 1979, her mother, Ina Faye Combs Risinger McElroy who died in 2006, and her brother, Brian Keith Risinger who died in 1983.  

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m., by Pastor Joel Almaroad at the Grace Baptist Church, 920 Montclair in Madison. Committal services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison.

Friends may visit Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church, 920 Montclair in Madison.
